The pyromancer and the stormcaller are the two mage classes in Rift:Planes of Telara. Stormcaller soul is using water or air and pyromancer wield one of the deadliest powers in Telara – the power of fire.

The pyromancers can use walls of flame that traps their targets by not letting them out and thus can keep them in a distance. Also they deal damage not only for a single target but also do an area-of-effect damage. While their strong at a distance the pyromancers are quite week at close ranges and when you play one of them it’s always better to stay far from the most dangerous melee enemies and use magic to do that. It’s best to use souls like the archon and the elementalist along with the pyromancer to have the greater effect.

While pyromancer uses only fire the stormcaller tries to use the combination of air and water to have the best effect. If he’s able to combine them, he’ll have a quite a dangerous mix with devastating damage. Unfortunately it takes time to warm up these kind of mages are vulnerable when their enemies can interrupt their warm up. Like pyromancers the stormcallers are able to deal terrible amount of damage to the enemies and have the abilities to keep them at a distance by simply throwing them back.
